We wanted to quietly announce to our loyal Viigo users that we’ve just added over 1,000 new channels to our content library … all one click away. You’ll never be bored again!
We’re not officially launching this until next Tuesday, so please don’t blog about it just yet, but if you’re already a Viigo user, you have access to it today, so enjoy!
Why enhance the content library? Well, for one, we want to make Viigo as useful as possible. The way we see it, the more content we provide you, and the easier we make it for you to find it, the better.
We also want to ensure that Viigo delivers a great user experience, so, despite the increase in channels, we believe that this version of the content library features a lighter more intuitive structure, with more depth and less required ‘thinking’.
Featured channels include:
- Blogs (showcasing some of the best blogs in the blogosphere, including those from our partners at B5 Media)
- Business and Finance (feeds on Entrepreneurship, Finance News, Industry News, Investing, Markets and Popular business publications)
- Cool Feeds & Useful Services (the Exotic, Cool and Interactive)
- Entertainment (TV, Movies, Books, Celebrity, Comics, Entertainment News, Fashion, Magazines and even Bollywood)
- Interests & Lifestyle (Nature, Humour, the Environment, Games, Health and Fitness, Hip Hop, Science, etc.)
- International (feeds in Danish, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian)
- Local Events, Deals and Weather (Shopping, Sightseeing and Sunshine)
- Newspapers (from 8 countries around the world, including a deluxe array of North American newspapers)
- Sports (coverage of 15 different sports, including Stats, Spreads and Insight from the experts)

Simply click the menu button when you are on the main Viigo screen and select ‘Add Channel’. It’s so new that you may have to ‘menu click’ again and select ‘Reload Listing’. (Viigo auto-defaults its setting to only reload the channel library once a day).
