Useful Hint
Many thanks to our keen Viigo users for identifying a rare network connection bug.
If you’ve ever attempted to update your Viigo feeds/channels immediately after exiting a no data coverage zone (such as the subway, an elevator, or even a dungeon), Viigo may display the following error message:
“A problem occurred when trying to create or access your account. Please visit the support area of the Virtual reach website …..”
First of all it’s a dumb message … and we’re going to change it … it’s nothing to do with your account at all!
The issue arises because Viigo attempts to connect using a number of fallback protocols, if the primary connection type fails. Sometimes it gets lost and gives up. I know, I know, what a Wuss!
To troubleshoot: From the Viigo
Main Menu > Options > Network – ensure that connection Type is set to Auto, and that Current Connection Type says – BIS-B. If the current Connection Type is anything other than BIS-B, then you might have the problem.
To fix: Simply close Viigo … from the Main Menu, choose Close, and reopen the app … that will restore your connection, and fix the problem.
