Election 2008: Get your Politics Fix with Viigo
The U.S. Presidential race is heating up and Super Tuesday is only one week away. To mark the occasion, we’ve added a U.S. Politics section in the Viigo Channel Library, (Add Channel > News Center > U.S. Politics). By subscribing to a variety of feeds in U.S. Politics, you’ll be able to keep up with all the latest news, results and happenings in the U.S. Presidential race. We’ve gathered a wide variety of news sources, popular blogs, and some not-so-mainstream blogs that provide a wide range of opinions, perspectives, analysis and views.
In case the 50+ channels in the U.S. Politics section don’t provide you with your politics fix, you can still follow your favorite candidates and political events with Viigo’s Custom Search channels, or find additional political blogs by using Viigo’s “Search for Blog Feeds by Topic” feature.
To create a custom search channel, go to Add Channel > Add your own channel > Add Search Channel. Select your favorite search provider, enter the name of the event or candidate you’d like to follow, select “Ok” and presto! You’ll be subscribed to a custom search channel that follows an event or your favorite candidate. (Or if you follow multiple candidates, create a custom search channel for each candidate).
To find additional political blogs by Topic, go to Add Channel > Add your own channel > Search for Blog Feeds by Topic and enter some search terms (for example, enter “U.S. Presidential Election”) and a number of blogs will be returned in your search results. Scroll to and highlight any of the blogs that may interest you, click “Enter”, and you’re automatically subscribed to that blog.
