Normally, Viigo cleans up old articles and discards them in order to make room for new articles.

If you want to retain an article for some reason (for example an installment of an eBook) you can save that article and Viigo will not discard it, even when loading new articles.

Just click on the article/installment and select MENU-SAVE.

Stuck at an airport? Or on the way into the office in the morning on the train?

Don’t ever be bored again!

Thanks to our relationship with DailyLit (http://www.DailyLit.com), you can now read some of your favorite books, for free, on Viigo … anytime, anywhere.

To access the new service, click on Entertainment from the home screen and choose “Add Channel“, and select DailyLit from the menu.

 

On the following page will be a list of 25 free books to choose from.

Once you have selected the books you would like sent to you, return to the Entertainment channel. You can then select the book you would like to begin reading.



Dracula, as you can see in the example below, comes in 187 installments, which are each delivered daily. Don’t worry if you don’t get a chance to read an installment on one day, we’ll keep it around for you so you can catch up.

Yesterday, Viigo blew away all prior records.

We were, at times, adding more users per hour than we used to add in an entire day. Our new servers were managing 000’s of updates each second, and tens of thousands of people tuned into our Live Election Tracker to keep on top of last Night’s US Election results. People in Hockey Arenas, in Airports, on Trains, in Cars and at Work, all over the world were following the election on Viigo when they couldn’t be near a TV or the Internet. Welcome to the power of the smartphone!

If you are looking to update the Live Election Results feeds in real time, there are two ways to do this.

You can either select “Update Channel” from the BlackBerry menu while viewing the channel … alternately, Viigo will update the channel automatically each time you enter it.

Viigo has just added a real-time results for tomorrow’s US Election. The Live Election Results Feed will provide both Overall and State By State results throughout the evening as each contender demonstrates a Firm Lead, or is declared a Winner in each State. The results will be updated throughout the evening.

To add the new feed, click on Elections 2008, then select “Add Channel”, then select “Live Election Results”.

Results will be updated every 5 minutes.

On Saturday night, with one second on the clock, seventh ranked Texas Tech scored a touchdown and defeated number one ranked Texas. Fans had to be cleared from the field three times before the final tick came off the clock to end the game. There is nothing like college sports to see true passion for a game!

I was fortunate to have been able to follow all this action on my smartphone using Viigo’s NCAA Football service, which was launched on Friday afternoon. It’s pretty awesome to track the progress of your favorite team, live, wherever you are, especially as we move towards Bowl season.

To access the NCAA service select Sports from the home screen and choose “Add Sports”.

From there select Football and then NCAA. At this point you will find the option of adding live scores, NCAA Standings for 25 conferences as well as general NCAA Football news or news on your favorite team.

Scores – Access to what is taking place in a game as it is occurring.

Team specific news – If just knowing the score is not enough to satisfy your thirst for what happened in the game, you would then want to be sure to add team specific news to your Viigo.

Standings – Staying current with the roller coaster ride that is NCAA football means you will want to be sure you have the standings services added to your Viigo. Again, this is available for all 25 Conferences and will soon also include the BCS ranking.

All of this information is gathered together in one simple to view and navigate presentation.
